  2. This is disk one of a two disk set; NZAmigaUG 24.30, NZAmigaUG 24.pics.

  5.  ~GIF to IFF :`    Programs to convert GIF format compressed picture files
  6.          into IFF files for the Amiga.  By John Bickers (Wellington),
  7.          includes full C source in a zoo-ed archive.
  8.        ~fig :`       GIF to IFF, 256 colour GIF will produce 8 bitplane IFF!
  9.            Intermediate workfiles can be modified with the utilities
  10.            below, before completing the conversion to IFF with fig.
  11.        ~half :`      Halves the width of large fig workfiles, maintains the
  12.            correct aspect ratio when converted to interlaced images.
  13.        ~mash :`      Squishes 6 to 8 bitplane fig workfile to 5 bit planes.
  14.        ~sham :`      Squishes 8 bitplane fig workfile to 6 bitplanes for HAM.
  15.        ~tdis :`      Display program, you can scroll around large pictures
  16.            using arrow keys.  Can display ANY IFF picture that fits
  17.            into CHIP RAM.  Doesn't know how to squeeze overscan-hires
  18.            pics onto the Amigas screen, but you scroll such pictures
  19.            sideways. Great for scating around 1024x1024 exGIF images!
  20.            Includes dump to printer and many other options.

  58.  ~SHam :`          Sliced HAM picture viewer!  By changing the pallette
  59.          every scanline, it allows a wider range of colours in a
  60.          HAM picture.  Effectively this allows it to greatly
  61.          reduce fringing effects, and gives sharper images.

  64.  ~ShowPics :`      Picture display program from John Matthews (Wellington),
  65.          it can display pics listed in a file, selected from its
  66.          requester, or selected via WorkBench.  It can load a pic
  67.          while displaying the previous one, and can even handle
  68.          hires, interlaced, overscan pictures in this mode.
  69.          ESC to quit, SPACEBAR to step through images.
  70.          Arrow keys can move the pic, eg when loading an overscan
  71.          PAL picture on an NTSC machine you may have to hit the
  72.          down arrow about 30 times until the display rights itself.
  73.          Includes zoo-ed Modula-II source code and two alternative
  74.          versions; ARP & SmallShowPics.  The ultimate displayer?

  83.          program, docs, source etc will be released on NZAmigaUG 25.

  86.          that adds Resident programs and Aliases to the Workbench
